‘Hewale’ Social Health, a Ghanaian online hospital APP developed by Orcons Systems, has been recognised by the West African Healthcare Excellence Awards (WAHEA).
Following an evaluation of the healthcare industry in the West African sub-region for the period of one year, WAHEA concluded that ‘Hewale’ was the Most Promising Healthcare Tech company for the year 2018.
The award ceremony took place at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra last week.
According to Mr Yaw Baah Dankyi, Product and Sales Manager at Orcons System Limited, ‘Hewale’ was grateful to the award committee and board of WAHEA for the recognition.
He said Orcons was hoping to make ‘Hewale’ a number one health app for every Ghanaian in the next one year.
What is Hewale?
'Hewale' is a complete healthcare management system that covers all aspects of the Hospital and Patient Management which comprises of Hospital Management System (HMS) and Virtual Private Healthcare called “HEWALE” Social Health System.
It was developed by a team of Ghanaian IT personnel in consultation with other health institutions and stakeholders.
It has been providing free medical consultations to Ghanaians through its telemedicine service in collaboration with a team of certified medical practitioners across the country.
It is a dynamic, innovative mobile and web-based healthcare application that can be used by both medical practitioners and patients to enable effective remote healthcare delivery.
It covers all the aspects of the hospital and patient management.
